Rear Load
CCS rear load containers are built to tight trunnion bar tolerances for reliable compatibility with rear-load collection trucks — available in 77½" (with washer) and 80" (no washer) trunnion bar configurations across all sizes. The rear load line runs from 1 to 10 cubic yards in Straight, Slope, High, and Low Profile body styles, covering the full range of municipal, commercial, and residential collection applications. Smaller sizes include optional caster configurations for accounts requiring container mobility between service points.

1–1.5 Cubic Yard Rear Load
CCS's smallest rear load containers are built for tight residential and light commercial service points — small footprint accounts, alley service, and locations where a larger container isn't practical. Both sizes use a Straight body profile and are available with caster configurations for repositionable service.

2 Cubic Yard Rear Load
The 2CY is available in Straight and Slope profiles. The Straight configuration is the standard choice for most commercial and residential rear-load accounts. The 2CY Straight is also the only rear load size in the CCS line offered with a Heavy Duty body upgrade (12GA body).

Rear load container compatibility with your collection trucks is determined primarily by trunnion bar diameter and length. CCS rear load containers are available in two standard trunnion bar configurations:
77 ½" with washer: The standard configuration for most rear-load truck chassis
80" no washer: For trucks requiring the longer bar dimension without washer clearance
Confirm your truck's trunnion pocket specifications before ordering. If your fleet runs a non-standard trunnion configuration, contact CCS to discuss custom options.
Trunnion bar material across the rear load line is 1.5" round bar on 4CY and larger sizes. Smaller sizes (1–3CY) use the same 1.5" trunnion bar spec.
Straight
Vertical side walls with a square body profile. The default configuration for most rear-load service environments — maximizes interior volume for a given footprint and is the most widely compatible profile across rear-load truck types.
Slope
Features a sloped rear wall that guides material toward the collection opening during dumping, reducing residue and improving empty-out efficiency. Preferred for food waste, organics, and other materials prone to hang-up in straight-wall containers.
High
Taller body height for higher-volume accounts — same footprint as Straight, more cubic capacity. Available on 6CY and 8CY sizes.
Low Profile
Reduced body height for below-grade service environments, loading dock access, or accounts where a standard-height container creates clearance issues. Available on 4CY, 8CY, and 10CY sizes.
